Privacy Policy
This policy matches the scripts this site actually loads. It was last changed on 2026-10-18. Questions go to contact@tapsimulator.net.
Initial pages load local fonts, images and the Google tag (gtag.js); Google Analytics 4 runs with every Consent Mode v2 storage flag denied, so no analytics cookie is written. Adsterra ads, Microsoft Clarity heatmaps and recordings, and YouTube players load only after you accept optional ads and media. Adsterra serves the ad units on this site, and its "show adult ads" setting stays off.

Who is responsible
The operator of tapsimulator.net is the editorial desk named on the about page. Contact contact@tapsimulator.net. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the choice banner, and rejecting there removes the ads and the recording tag on the next page view.
Storage we set
We do not set a cookie of our own, and Google Analytics 4 cannot set one here either. The consent banner writes one localStorage key, ts_consent, holding the choice and an expiry timestamp. Retention is 180 days, after which the banner asks again. Reject, a Global Privacy Control signal, or a Do Not Track value of 1 is stored as denied. Cookie settings in the footer lets you change your choice. Reject removes active embedded players and restores their local previews.
If you accept and then hide the floating Adsterra bar, we store one more key, ts_adbar, holding the value closed, so the bar stays away on later pages. Clear site data in your browser to bring it back.
Third parties
Google Analytics 4 is the only integration that runs before you choose anything. The Google tag (gtag.js) loads on every page from www.googletagmanager.com with measurement id G-SL5X5DBDJM, and it sends a cookieless page-view ping to google-analytics.com that carries the page URL, your IP address and browser information but no analytics cookie and no stored identifier. Consent Mode v2 starts with ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage denied and keeps all four denied after you accept, because consent for ads and recordings is not consent for Google analytics storage. ads_data_redaction is enabled. Consent Mode alone does not block network requests: the tag file loads on every page, and this site also gates the player code.
Adsterra is the advertising network behind the ad units on this site. Nothing from Adsterra loads until you accept optional ads and media: our own script creates the two unit loaders at that point, and rejecting leaves the page free of them. Once loaded, the unit loaders come from bicea.org and the ads fill from Adsterra domains. Adsterra receives your IP address, browser and device information, the page URL and what you do with the ad, so it can serve and measure advertising; it may set its own cookies or local storage on its domains for frequency capping and measurement, and it may show interest-based ads. Adsterra controls that retention; its policy is at https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/. We hold the publisher account directly, in our own name.
Microsoft Clarity loads only after you accept. It is requested from www.clarity.ms and scripts.clarity.ms with project id yzhm2toxra and reports page views, clicks, scroll depth and session recordings to *.clarity.ms. Clarity masks entered text by default, so what you type into the trade calculator or any other field is not recorded. Rejecting, Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track keeps the tag off the page, so no Clarity cookie is written.
Google / YouTube is the only optional embedded provider. A player at youtube-nocookie.com loads only after Accept optional ads and media and a play click. Playback can contact youtube.com, googlevideo.com, ytimg.com, ggpht.com, google.com and doubleclick.net as well as youtube-nocookie.com. These services receive your IP address and browser information and may use their own storage. We do not receive their playback data. Choosing Reject removes the player but cannot undo requests already sent.
Cloudflare provides the site hosting and email routing. A request to this first-party domain necessarily sends your IP address and HTTP request information to the host. We do not run Cloudflare Web Analytics or add its beacon. Contact emails and attachments are routed through Cloudflare to our Google Gmail editorial inbox. Send only information needed to support a correction, not passwords, account tokens or private player data. We retain correspondence only as needed to review the submission, and you can request deletion.
Outbound links to Roblox, Discord, Dexerto and Destructoid leave this site. Those sites set their own cookies. We do not control them.
| Name | Purpose | When it loads | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| ts_consent | Remember accept or reject | On a choice | localStorage, 180 days |
| ts_adbar | Keep a hidden Adsterra bar hidden | When you hide the floating bar | localStorage, until you clear site data |
| Google Analytics 4 | Count page views so we know which guides are read. Loaded as the Google tag (gtag.js) from www.googletagmanager.com; pings go to google-analytics.com. Google holds the reports in GA4 property 559314484. | Every page, before you choose anything. Measurement id G-SL5X5DBDJM. | Consent Mode v2 keeps all four storage signals denied, so no _ga or _ga_* cookie is written and each ping is cookieless. ads_data_redaction is on. Google still receives the page URL, IP address and browser information for aggregate reporting. |
| Adsterra | Serve the in-page Native Banner and the floating Social Bar, and measure impressions and clicks. | Only after you accept optional ads and media. Unit loaders from bicea.org; ads fill from Adsterra domains. | Adsterra controls retention on its own domains; cookies, local storage or device identifiers may be used for frequency capping, measurement and interest-based ads. Data requests go through https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/. |
| Microsoft Clarity | Heatmaps and session recordings so we can see which sections of a guide readers skip. Loaded from www.clarity.ms; reports go to *.clarity.ms. Microsoft holds the sessions in Clarity project yzhm2toxra. | Only after you accept optional ads and media. Project id yzhm2toxra. | First-party cookies _clck (about one year) and _clsk (about one day), plus a localStorage mirror. Entered text and form input are masked by default. Reject, Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track keeps the tag from loading at all. |
| Google / YouTube | Play an embedded video | After consent and a play click | Provider cookies or local storage may be used |
| Cloudflare | Hosting and email routing | Site request or contact email | IP / HTTP request data; email forwarding |
| Google Gmail | Editorial contact inbox | When you email us | Email and submitted attachments |
| Roblox / Discord / news sites | Outbound links only | If you follow a link | Their own cookies |
Personalized ads and signals
The Adsterra units on this site can serve interest-based advertising. To limit interest-based ads in your browser generally, use Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com), the DAA opt-out (https://optout.aboutads.info) and Your Online Choices (https://www.youronlinechoices.com); requests about data Adsterra holds go through https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/. Rejecting in our banner is the direct opt-out here, because it removes the ad units instead of only switching them to non-personalized mode.
If navigator.globalPrivacyControl is true, or navigator.doNotTrack is 1, the site records denied, keeps ads, Clarity and optional video off the page, and ignores Accept until you change that browser signal. No third-party request is made just to check the signal.
This site publishes no ads.txt file. Adsterra does not issue a seller record for publishers and its advertisers do not require one, so there is no authorized seller line to declare, and we do not guess an identifier. See https://help-publishers.adsterra.com/en/articles/5210920-putting-adsterra-ads-to-blogspot.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of personal data. The ts_consent and ts_adbar values stay in your own browser. Contact emails are separate from those local preferences. Email contact@tapsimulator.net to make a request; for data Adsterra itself collected, use https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/. You may also contact your local data-protection authority. Please do not submit personal information about children. If you believe such information has been sent, contact us so it can be removed.
Changes
If a new third party is added, this page and the verified date change in the same release, before the script ships. The footer date is the same date as article:modified_time.
FAQ
Does tapsimulator.net use cookies?
The site stores your choice in localStorage under ts_consent, plus ts_adbar once you hide the floating ad bar, and sets no first-party cookie of its own. Google Analytics 4 runs with every Consent Mode v2 storage flag denied, so it writes no _ga cookie and only sends cookieless pings. Adsterra ad units and Microsoft Clarity load only after you accept optional ads and media; Clarity then sets the first-party cookies _clck and _clsk with entered text masked, and Adsterra may use its own cookies or storage on its domains. Optional YouTube playback may use provider cookies or storage only after consent and a play click.
